A little snapshot of a new design from the bench. This is a new, stone set ring I've been working on, inspired by textures found along the beaches of Scotland.
The ring was carved by hand from jewellers wax, then cast into Sterling Silver and finished and set on the work bench. I set a small, dark blue sapphire by hand into the setting that was carved when in its wax form. I then used the textures of the ring to trap the stone in place, mimicking the way that small stones become trapped in larger rocks and crevices along the coast.
The way that this ring has been hand carved makes it unique and one of a kind. To see if it's still available go to my Surfaces Collection.
